In MSO Word 2002, there is the option:
HEADER/FOOTER Toolbar -> Insert AutoText -> Page X of Y

This is a very useful shortcut, which I find myself lamenting the lack of in
LO.

Would such a menu entry be a separate enhancement request, or part of this one?

I believe this functionality should remain within the Template manager, when I
use it I normally add/delete styles in several pre-existing files and
templates, especially Calc. I don't want to have to open each one and then load
styles.
I certainly don't want this bug closed and possibly forgotten by transferring
it to bug 50282 which was for an improvement to a functionality which was lost
after LibreOffice 3 and which this, bug 60589 has been trying to get back.

@Miroslaw: As this bug is a regression in the template manager, and bug 50282
is an enhancement to the template manager, it is best to close this one and
rename that one. Alternatively, we could close both and create a new
enhancement bug about the load styles dialog.

re-assign it to proper component?

I do not have strong opinion on where this functionality should be placed.
There are legitimate use-cases that are unavailable since 4.0.0 and this report
is about them. If there is another issue about these same use-cases, we can
close this as duplicate of the other issue. But closing report due to minor
procedural shortcomings is certainly not resolution I was looking for.

I think this should be closed as WONTFIX as it isnt a feature needed in the
template manager and should be in the load styles dialog, as mention in bug

Doubt this is a feature that should be in the template manager and instead
should be in the styles and formatting sidebar, as we have the load styles
command already there, atleast in writer. So i'd suggest extending the load
styles dialog to all modules and make it possible to copy not just all styles
of a category, but user selected styles as well. @Heiko: Sounds like a good
topic for a design session mockup jam.

It is not solved, neither in LO5.2 nor in master. Draw, Impress, and Calc do
not have the option to load styles from file, and even for Writer the feature
"load styles from file" itself is only a workaround, because you cannot select
a single style.

Still an issue in 5.2 and master (and really annoying by the way, pushing
importance). Furthermore to ctr+shift+home/end the text box should provide
paragraph selection per ctrl+shift arrow.

The solution is simple: While in edit mode global shortcuts have to be
ineffective.

Using the attachments to test and in particular "Newly created fit to text box
(small font)" I can confirm that ctrl+shift+F8 works as expected and resizes
the text (however I have to press the shortcut twice the first time) but it
doesnt when I use the "Text" dialog.

To me it's an ordinary bug so I remove the needsUXEval.

My suggestion is to not include localized stuff by default. When we start with
French templates we may quickly add other main languages, then not so common
ones, and eventually we translate named objects so that it could be found in
searches etc.

Ideally we have a perfect integration of additional stuff where the user can
load what she wants. That's realized today by the templates/extension site but
has room for a better integration.
