According to his localization, user may expect MM-DD-YY or D-MM-YY.

As I enhanced "Add/Delete decimal place" button for scientific format, I can
give you some pointer if you need. See bug 88960

I forgot to update the bugzilla script. So the last commits are for 5.4.0 and
not for 5.3.0 unless they get pushed to the 5-3 branch.

(In reply to Buovjaga from comment #1)

If the area dialog is called from a shape and you add a gradient, then this
gradient is stored in "standard.sog" in user/config and is available in all
other places. There is no reason, why the very same dialog behaves different in
case it is called from a page.

I thought it has been one of the goals of the new dialog, that you no longer
need to create a dummy shape to add a gradient before you can use it as page
background.

It is a bad user experience, if the dialog promises a feature, which it doesn't
hold. So for me it is a bug.

Besides that, the gradient which has been defined in the situation of page
background and which is applied as background, is no longer available, if you
save and reopen the document. So it is not possible to alter an already
existing background gradient, for example change the angle or center or
gradient steps.

2016-11-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104006

IMO that's a Bad Thing.

Instead of informing and educating users about this powerful workflow, and
providing them with handy tool to hide that as soon as they *decide* it's
unimportant to them now (like appropriately positioned and labeled
toolbar/sidebar button), this will (1) require (presumably inexperienced) users
to go to some options to turn it off, and (2) create new situations when two
parties that exchange information see different things and don't understand
each other; that will raise the need to teach those users how to turn it on
when needed.

If users know what this feature is for, it will not be uncomfortable for them
to press a button; if they don't know, then it will be bad for their document
exchange with original sender if they don't learn.

Then we should write it out. Worst case is "73% Char Green (Out of Gamut)" or
"73% Chartreuse Green (Out of Gamut)". This will likely not crash the display
manager.
