Behavior seems functional now. 

The double click on a field value launch of the Input Field dialog works
nicely.

Kind of seems the Edit -> Fields... entry needs adjustment to "Edit Field" (as
for bug 112382) and that this needs its own Edit menu entry "Input Field" to
pop open the dialog.

It has been pushed to "master":

tdf#79877 revert to old behavior when clicking on input fields.

It will be available in 6.0.0.

The patch should be included in the daily builds available at

Affected users are encouraged to test the fix and report feedback.

I would question the very existence of that button. Why on earth isn’t the
toolbar button split, so that it can both launch the full dialog and open the

Rather than enhancing the hell out of the spelling dialog we should provide an
alternative workflow via the sidebar. So in agreement with Stuart's argument of
less benefit for a lot of effort let's close this ticket as WF.

Hi Norbert, I agree with Heiko. The More... button is used in the UI when there
is a dialog box with some options displayed and we want to show more of them.
This is not the case here, the button is to launch the dialog box displaying

The feature is experimental and therefor not every aspect is perfect.
Nevertheless I think a generic approach makes sense and I recommend to not only
activate the menubar with F10 but also to show it when hidden. (Restore
previous visibility when the focus goes somewhere else)

This solution could be an easyhack.
