[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 127121] Enhancement request: rename file field in the toolbar
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127121 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- Comment #1 from V Stuart Foote --- While 'open' in LibreOffice a document has been filter imported from its ODF archive, an ODF document archive is only reassembled when saved/exported using applicable filters. An out of sequence "rename" from a toolbar widget would require a full save/export of the open document to a newly named document, closing/disposition of the open document, and opening of the new document. And while some parts could probably be done in process with reassignment of temp files it would be an effort to make it reliable. Not worth the dev effort to do this consistently cross platform when the os/DE provided filing handling is suitable to task. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127123 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- Comment #3 from V Stuart Foote --- On opening a document, the Fonts listbox is populated in one pass alphabetically by parsing all fonts available on system. It is fundamentally a Direct Formatting tool--also note we do not even show the font assigned when using the Formatting (Style) toolbar--adjusting 'Font' in the Paragraph style dialog. We already provide MRU for fonts at the top of the list box, but it is dynamic during editing. And, have other UI issues of returning to top of alphabetical list on next access to the listbox (bug 90161) That said, it would be convenient to add a static MRU segment at the top of the droplist, populated from LO user profile. Perhaps even allow for pining of preferred fonts into a static MRU. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 74364] EDITING: Selecting multiple draw objects should show (unselectable) handles for all objects
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=74364 Pedro changed: What|Removed |Added CC||vermelhusco1...@gmail.com --- Comment #12 from Pedro --- Created attachment 153597 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=153597=edit Only Office multiple objects selection, point selection I would like to request that the Points (F8) view is made the default one, for the following reasons: - it is the behaviour expected by users of other office suites (Microsoft Office, GDocs, WPS Office, Only Office and Softmaker Office have this behaviour). If an user does the same in LibreOffice and does not see the same result he will assume it is a bug, despite there being historical reasons for not being presented that way. - The points view allows to easily see which objects are selected. This is especially useful if one is selecting dozens of objects assembled in a specific order and with multiple ones overlaping. Only Office also has a point selection in which it shows the multiple objets selected -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise

Agree with Mike's take on it (comment 2 comment 4), should not be doing this one widget at a time. Reimplementing UI scaling for bug 101646 would be massive, but so would establishing a framework (with expert config settings) to do it per widget which would be the other approach. Also, would point out the other "Formula Bar" (inputwin.cxx/.hxx) for use in writer Tables is now even more radically different UI to the sc flavor. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise
