[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 145384] Writer table cells have address scheme that differs from Calc, "A-Z,a-z,AB-AZ,..." vs "A-Z,AA-AZ,BA-BZ,..."; lowercase cell refs are more error prone for cell form
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145384 Heiko Tietze changed: What|Removed |Added Keywords|needsUXEval | CC|libreoffice-ux-advise@lists | |.freedesktop.org| --- Comment #33 from Heiko Tietze --- (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #30) > We may annoy a few users, but there needs to be clear UX agreement of the > approach to correcting this. To me a clean break is better than muddled > attempt to accommodate legacy Writer table cell addressing. ODF conformity is prime likewise compatibility. It should be possible to open documents with old/wrong and new/correct references in upcoming and old versions. OTOH, whether a1 is the first or the 27th column would be unclear to users. I agree that most tables are shorter. So perhaps a clear cut is better than fiddling around with compatibility. But that's rather a decision for the ESC. And we gave enough input. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 134293] Inconsistent double-click AutoFill behavior
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134293 Heiko Tietze changed: What|Removed |Added Keywords|needsUXEval | Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW Severity|minor |normal Ever confirmed|0 |1 CC|libreoffice-ux-advise@lists |heiko.tietze@documentfounda |.freedesktop.org|tion.org --- Comment #14 from Heiko Tietze --- Confirming the bug. Cells with content in the fill direction define the range, otherwise surrounding columns. If the filled cells are hidden the whole sheet is filled. Tested with Version: 7.2.2.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 20(Build:2) CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+xcb) Locale: de-DE (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US 7.2.2-2 Calc: threaded and Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha1+ / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 829ea811e19fead7ad35049342136b592077674b CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+xcb) Locale: de-DE (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded The dependency to grouping is unclear and should IMO discussed separately. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 138793] Add file attachments to pdf when exporting
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138793 --- Comment #5 from Simon Phipps --- I would be very concerned by the ability to add arbitrary files to a hybrid PDF as it would become a vector for malware. I would thus treat the request as out-of-scope for LibreOffice. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 145499] CALC AUTOFILTER Numerical values duplicated in the drop down pane
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145499 Heiko Tietze changed: What|Removed |Added CC|libreoffice-ux-advise@lists |heiko.tietze@documentfounda |.freedesktop.org|tion.org Keywords|needsUXEval | --- Comment #7 from Heiko Tietze --- Don't see what UX input can add here. Taking the result of a floating number calculation into the auto filter (or any other calculation) requires to consider precision. It would be a user mistake to assume a certain number of decimals. If GSheet (or other) does round it will (silently) fail in those scenarios where the difference is crucial. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 138793] Add file attachments to pdf when exporting
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138793 Heiko Tietze changed: What|Removed |Added CC||libreoff...@webmink.net, ||vmik...@collabora.com --- Comment #4 from Heiko Tietze --- The Hybrid PDF is, to my knowledge, a proprietary enhancement aiming to not only share a portable document but also its source. It is not intended to be a container for random files. And besides the UI to select the files to be included you would need to access it, somehow. You also have to consider security issues with attached content. Putting all together I think a ZIP file or just URLs to download the code snippets is better suited for your workflow. Any other opinion, Miklos, Simon? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
