I ordered my 50CT from CDW sometime in 98, they were clearing it out for around $600 from what I remember. Wow... Online, or in stores? Amazing what a few months will do. Then again, it was around double that in cost the month before, before they clearanced it. I can't remember where I found out about the clearance price, though. Well, I don't mind paying what I did. It was love at 1st sight, and I would almost have paid anything to call it mine. :-D That was well before I learned where to find bargain too. Then, there was a practical aspect to the purchase, as I was heading off to Mexico for several months, and the Globalink Spanish translation software I had for a desktop proved very handy trekking about with it installed on the little Libby. Sarge is not released yet, but almost finished, woody is rather old. sarge installer is much nicer. Anyway I don't have any media drives on mine, so I simply put the drive in a desktop with a 2.5 - 3.5 IDE converter. Worked 'out of the box'.
