They are the best quality I have found. dave www.mouser.com - Original Message - From: "Richard Munson" [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: "Libretto" [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, March 08, 2001 14:51 Subject: Re audio plug Date: Thu, 08 Mar 2001 22:43:16 + From: Richard Munson [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re audio plug A while ago there was some information re audio jack plugs to fit the 2.5mm hole in the back of the CT70, but I cant find it. I am looking for a 2.5mm jack plug with a 90deg turn, it can be either an adaptor to 3.5mm or a straight plug that requires wiring up, either way I have tried every electronic and hi-fi outlet in UK and nobody can supply one. Any information where I could get one from would be most welcome. I have got a straight 2.5 to 3.5 adaptor however by the time I have the whole lot plugged together there is about 3-4 inches of stuff hanging out the back of a very small hole and every time it moves the strain on the socket is visible. The docs with the 70 say stereo. I would asume the same with the 100 AND 110. RS does have such an inline adapter.only avail from catalog, though. check their website out. dave - Original Message - From: "A van Gelder" [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: "Libretto" [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, December 17, 2000 00:48 Subject: Re: Libretto Digest #1202 Date: Sun, 17 Dec 2000 10:42:47 +0200 From: A van Gelder [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Libretto Digest #1202 I have had a mammoth search for a 2.5 mm to 3.5mm adapter, with many people saying it does not exist. It does, and a Company called Philtron in South Africam imports it from, they say, (but unconfirmed) Singapore. (Fortunately, (in this case!) we do not have Radio Shack in SA!) However it is "mono" - It works well on my 110. Plugging a normal stereo 3.5 plug into it provides signal on both lines. However, I've wondered, is the output on the 2.5 socket mono or stereo on a 110CT, and if a mono plug shorts one channel, is it likely to cause damage? They do have those, and they usually do have them in stock. I even picked up one of those hands free cell phone headsets and cut off the cable and disassembled my headphones to replace the whole cable with the one from the hands free set. Presto, instant headphones with 2.5mm stereo plug. The headset didn't go to waste, I turned it into a headset for use on my computer, excellent for those web-phone (voice phone calls through the internet) services. .-. |the ·TechnoDragon· | | [EMAIL PROTECTED] | .-. | http://broker.dhs.org/~tdragon/ | .-. ** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://libretto.basiclink.com/archive - Archives http://www.picante.com/~gtaylor/portable/faq.html - FAQ ---UNSUBSCRIBE--- mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=cmd:unsubscribe UNSUBSCRIBE DIGEST-- Use above but add DIGEST to the subject line... ** ** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://libretto.basiclink.com/archive - Archives http://www.picante.com/~gtaylor/portable/faq.html - FAQ ---UNSUBSCRIBE--- mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=cmd:unsubscribe UNSUBSCRIBE DIGEST-- Use above but add DIGEST to the subject line... **
