Argentina! I remember your post about this from last summer or fall I
think
Leonardo. That was the first I'd read about the pen. I suppose I could
have done a lot more work in the future if I'd bought a soldering iron and
solder to replace what I've got stored a half a continent away... but this
just seemed like too much fun!

This was a Chemtronics pen made just north of me.

Does anyone have any tips on using this conductive pen to connect the
 solder
point? It seems all to easy and obvious I guess. Maybe clean any
 coating
off the solder if it exists, and then just paint a trail between the
two
   points.

   Da?!

I am thinking of buying one of these in 8 gig. The person selling it
claims it is 9.5mm in height however I was looking at the IBM specs
site and the specs listed it as 17mm. Which is right? I can't measure
it myself. I am interested in it because it is unused and cheap.

Firstly, may I suggest that sending emails in allcaps and with an excess
of
exclamation points (!) certainly reduces the chances that people are
likely
to take your email seriously because it amounts to shouting. Frequent
 shouters tend to get ignored.

Secondly, whilst I've not used USB under 2k on the Libretto before, I do
know that the USB controller (along with the docking station's PCMCIA
controllers) won't turn on unless the external power is plugged in.
Perhaps
 that may be it?

I'm not familiar with the battery charger but from what I gather from
reading the manuals, if the red light stays on and doesn't change then the
battery pack is dead. Does the pack charge if you leave it in the libby with
AC power on?
