Never tried BT, but it should work just fine like Wifi. Nothing special really
besides drivers.

---

If the card doesn't have 98 drivers, then I'd do a full wipe reinstall of
98SE or higher -- I don't recally any sites that said doing a 98 to 98SE
upgrade worked or was recommended. still, you can search and see if some
enterprising person has done this.

---

But, keep in mind that there are PCMCIA BT cards that even have 95 drivers, so
why upgrade if you simply buy a card that supports your OS? Far less trouble
and works just the same!

[LIB] Bluetooth on Libretto?

2005-03-04 Thread Patrick Flowers

Subject: Bluetooth on Libretto?
I use my Lib quite a bit for GPS navigation. I'm planning to upgrade
to a bluetooth GPS receiver and was wondering if there are any issues
involved in using a PCMCIA bluetooth adapter with an L110? I know
I'll need to upgrade the OS - currently still using Win98(pre-SE).
I've followed the recent OS discussions and I'm curious if anyone's
tried XPlite from litepc?

Lastly, if I decide to stay with Win98, what's the best way to upgrade
to SE? I know MS never produced an upgrade CD. I suppose I'd need to
find an OEM CD and install over the current installation. Best to
reformat first?

TIA,
Patrick
