Currently there are no methods to customize the display in chatmode view.
It's never been an issue before that I am aware of, and it's not adding extra
lines to the message so it is harmless.

My apologies. Indeed I use Ctrl-Return, not Alt-Return. Never tried it
though :)
I ain't in qt-gui now (use console plugin mostly), so can't test.

Sending by pressing return can be a bit nasty if you are to send

Alt-Return, it works too (just like it does in WinIcq).

Why don't you open up a chat with the person you are talking to? That's
exactly the thing you want to have.

Cheers,

Arne

[Licq-main] get rid of unnecessary output

2002-10-15 Thread Hubert Faulhaber

Hi!

I've just installed licq 1.2.0a and it looked very nice.

But during the first conversation I found some things I don't like - maybe I
can adjust it with some options.

What I want is a minimum of unnecessary informations, e.g. no time displayed
in the message window.

not:
18:22:15 [] 99083887:
text
18:22:25 [] 99083887:
text

but:
Name: text
Name: text

And I'd like to send messages by pressing "return", not "ALT-S".

How can I get rid of this output?
Can my anybody assuage my needs? (do you say so?)

hubert.
