PDF date format

2015-08-13 Thread Phil Holmes
Looking inside PDF documents, the date is formatted like the one here:

D:20150813145047+01'00'

Does anyone know whether this style of abbreviation has a name?

TIA

According Adobe's PDF reference[1] section 3.8.3,

PDF defines a standard date format, which closely follows
that of the international standard ASN.1 (Abstract Syntax
Notation One), defined in ISO/ IEC 8824 (see the Bibliography).

I think it is known as the PDF date format. A quick search for PDF
date string standard throws up various references, including
https://tinyurl.com/po9wqaj

The format seems to be completely outwith the relevant standards (ISO
8601 and RFC 3339), but somewhat resembles them, of course.
