I will bring my burner (BenQ x32 if I'm not mistaken). However, I'm a bit
concerned about the fact that it might be too slow a PC to burn that fast.

Questions:
1. Do you have UDMA? What speed?
2. Do you have a seperate IDE bus that does not have a system HD connected
   to it?

That should be just fine.

If your burner is equiped with PurnProof(TM) or JustLink(TM) it would work
just fine. If not, we might need to burn @ 16 instead. Worth trying. 2 NIS

All the new CDRWs, from x24 and up, support BurnProof and other
start-and-speed-up-suspiciously methods, so it should (and would) work
just fine.

here and there won't change a thing. Also, it was meant to work on command
line, and not GUI. I wouldn't run KDE3 on this little baby, but something
slimmer, had I run X on it, like twm, or WM.

For a burner machine, you don't need more than a pure textual console and
cdrecord program. That's how I burn. No more, no less.

Sorry, but I have no better computer to loan...

Be happy. That's all we need :-)

Great. When are you here to pick it up?
Alon will need some time on it, to configure the burner (it should take 5
minutes to a slow person, and I'm sure he's faster then that, but why take
risks?)
