For over 65 year, SHARE has been the focus of the best education and collaboration between users and developers of mainframe hardware, operating systems, software, and related technologies. You will also find that SHARE offers the best opportunities for networking with other users of the technologies and key leadership, developers, and experts in using the technologies. Over 70% of fortune 500 companies depend on mainframes for critical applications. If you work with any of these technologies, you have a story to tell and other users want to hear it. If you are interested in making a presentation, now is the time to submit a suggestion at https://www.share.org/Events/SHARE-Orlando-2024/Call-for-presentations. If you are not sure that you are comfortable making an individual presentation you can respond off-list and we can discuss a presentation or other opportunities. You could also be a part of a panel of users to discuss a technology that you are using. We want to offer presentations on these topics: - z/VM: topics could include use, configuring, continuous availability - Linux: topics could include provisioning and management of virtual servers, Linux administration, monitoring and performance - Hybrid Cloud: topics could include setting up, connectivity, managing - other related topics: KVM, OpenShift Each of us has an experience to SHARE.
We also invite you to be a volunteer. There are openings on the team that plans events. Please respond to me directly and I can provide more information. If you want to help but on a more informal level, look for an invitation to help chair sessions as we get closer to March. We welcome you to respond about getting involved and encourage you to plan to attend in Orlando.
