RE: [linux-delhi] Remote Printing
Include the ip address in the /etc/hosts file too. If you are printing from the client linux machine as a user , you have to create the same username in the Server machine too. Bye = Original Message From [EMAIL PROTECTED] = Hi, 1.Ive a working printer setup (local) at 192.168.1.1 (RH 5.2) 2.I have configured another node 192.168.1.2 to access the remote printer at 192.168.1.1 using printtool (Mandrake 6.1) 3.Problem is that I am unable to print to the remote machine (192.168.1.1) from 1.2. Connection ethernet etc is ok as telnet ping works. 4.I checked the /var/spool/lp0 on 192.168.1.2. The "status" file on ...1.2 reports "waiting for queue to be enabled on 192.168.1.1" 5.Ive tried putting my IP (192.168.1.2) and or FQDN of 192.168.1.2 in both /etc/hosts.equiv and /etc/hosts.lpd on 192.168.1.1, but still no luck. Any pointers please ?? Venue at Chiragh Dilli sounds great Ghane. Like Raj said "BE THERE".
