[linux-dvb] Problems on scanning Hotbird
Hi. I'm testing an Hauppauge WinTV Nova CI DVB-s card on Knoppix with kernel 2.6.19. When I try to scan the Hotbird satellites, the scan utility doesn't found all channels. The scanning process takes about only 10 seconds and then stops without errors. The scan /usr/share/doc/dvb-utils/examples/scan/dvb-s/Hotbird-13.0E channels.conf output ends with: 0x 0x231b: pmt_pid 0x046a Tadiran Scopus -- MEDIOLANUM (running) 0x 0x22b0: pmt_pid 0x140c EUTELSAT -- DIRECT 8 (running) 0x 0x22af: pmt_pid 0x1405 NTH -- VIKOM RADIO (running) 0x 0x22ae: pmt_pid 0x1404 EUTELSAT -- TV8 Mt Blanc (running) 0x 0x22ad: pmt_pid 0x1403 EUTELSAT -- DIRECT 8 (running) Network Name 'EUTELSAT 13EAST' tune to: 10853:h:0:27500 0x2db4 0x219c: pmt_pid 0x007c T-Systems -- Supreme Master TV (running) 0x2db4 0x21ac: pmt_pid 0x008c T-Systems -- eurotic TV (running) 0x2db4 0x21ad: pmt_pid 0x0096 T-Systems -- INXTC TV (running) 0x2db4 0x21ae: pmt_pid 0x00a0 T-Systems -- eUroticPlus TV (running) 0x2db4 0x21af: pmt_pid 0x00aa T-Systems -- eurotic TV 2 (running) 0x2db4 0x21b0: pmt_pid 0x00ab T-Systems -- Sexy-Arab.TV (running) 0x2db4 0x21b1: pmt_pid 0x00ac T-Systems -- e-sat.tv (running) 0x2db4 0x21b2: pmt_pid 0x00ad T-Systems -- xxxFun TV (running) 0x2db4 0x21b3: pmt_pid 0x00ae T-Systems -- ArabSexClub (running) 0x2db4 0x21b4: pmt_pid 0x00af T-Systems -- ALO TV (running) 0x2db4 0x21b5: pmt_pid 0x00b0 T-Systems -- 'Arab-Girls.TV (running) 0x2db4 0x21cd: pmt_pid 0x0079 T-Systems -- EUMETCAST (running) 0x2db4 0x21ce: pmt_pid 0x007e T-Systems -- BTV IP (running) 0x2db4 0x21d0: pmt_pid 0x0080 T-Systems -- Tenfore (running) 0x2db4 0x21d2: pmt_pid 0x00b5 T-Systems -- InfomedTV (running) Network Name 'T-Systems' dumping lists (45 services) Done. I'm attaching my complete channels.conf, which is only 46 rows long (it should be very very longer!). In fact, the scanning process doesn't work even with Kaffeine or MythTV, and if I try to manually tune some transponders no channels are found. Using the original Hauppauge's drivers on Windows XP with the same cable and the same card I don't get any problem, and I can tune all channels on Hotbird satellite, so I don't think it is a cable or card related problem. My dish antenna is pointed only to Hotbird, so I can't try with another satellites. Anyone could help me to solve this problem? Thank you very much! I checked out the source using clone http://linuxtv.org/hg/v4l-dvb I have modified the source and created a diff file for the kworld DVB-T 210 Everything seems to work fine however i don't know how to upload the diff file so i am posting it here. essentially its the same as http://lists-archives.org/video4linux/15273-kworld-dvb-t-210-support.html but this patch is out of date (my previous patch 6 weeks ago is also out of date (not uploaded)) with these modifications the card is working fine with ubuntu feisty beta it worked well with ubuntu edgy too please can someone get this included in the source tree feel free to contact me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] here is the diff file diff -r 9fa3de301eac linux/drivers/media/video/saa7134/saa7134-cards.c --- a/linux/drivers/media/video/saa7134/saa7134-cards.cFri Mar 30 17:34:14 2007 -0300 +++ b/linux/drivers/media/video/saa7134/saa7134-cards.cSat Mar 31 14:08:36 2007 +0100 @@ -3447,6 +3447,35 @@ struct saa7134_board saa7134_boards[] = .gpio = 0x020, }, }, +[SAA7134_BOARD_KWORLD_DVBT_210] = { +.name = KWorld DVB-T 210, +.audio_clock= 0x00187de7, +.tuner_type = TUNER_PHILIPS_TDA8290, +.radio_type = UNSET, +.tuner_addr= ADDR_UNSET, +.radio_addr= ADDR_UNSET, +.mpeg = SAA7134_MPEG_DVB, +.gpiomask = 1 21, +.inputs = {{ +.name = name_tv, +.vmux = 1, +.amux = TV, +.tv = 1, +},{ +.name = name_comp1, +.vmux = 3, +.amux = LINE1, +},{ +.name = name_svideo, +.vmux = 8, +.amux = LINE1, +}}, +.radio = { +.name = name_radio, +.amux = TV, +.gpio = 0x020, +}, +}, }; const unsigned int saa7134_bcount = ARRAY_SIZE(saa7134_boards); @@ -3953,6 +3982,12 @@ struct pci_device_id saa7134_pci_tbl[] = .subvendor= 0x17de, .subdevice= 0x7201, .driver_data = SAA7134_BOARD_TEVION_DVBT_220RF, +},{ +.vendor = PCI_VENDOR_ID_PHILIPS, +.device = PCI_DEVICE_ID_PHILIPS_SAA7133, +.subvendor= 0x17de, +.subdevice= 0x7250, +.driver_data = SAA7134_BOARD_PHILIPS_TIGER, Why is the new card's autodetection set to SAA7134_BOARD_PHILIPS_TIGER, yet, you added a new card definition, SAA7134_BOARD_KWORLD_DVBT_210 ? },{ .vendor = PCI_VENDOR_ID_PHILIPS, .device = PCI_DEVICE_ID_PHILIPS_SAA7133, /* SAA7135HL */ @@ -4503,6 +4538,7 @@ int saa7134_board_init2(struct saa7134_d } break; case SAA7134_BOARD_PINNACLE_PCTV_310i: +case SAA7134_BOARD_KWORLD_DVBT_210: case SAA7134_BOARD_TEVION_DVBT_220RF: case SAA7134_BOARD_ASUSTeK_P7131_DUAL: case SAA7134_BOARD_ASUSTeK_P7131_HYBRID_LNA: diff -r 9fa3de301eac linux/drivers/media/video/saa7134/saa7134-dvb.c --- a/linux/drivers/media/video/saa7134/saa7134-dvb.cFri Mar 30 17:34:14 2007 -0300 +++ b/linux/drivers/media/video/saa7134/saa7134-dvb.cSat Mar 31 13:54:10 2007 +0100 @@ -1040,6 +1040,7 @@ static int dvb_init(struct saa7134_dev * dev-dvb.frontend-ops.tuner_ops.set_params = philips_tda6651_pll_set; } break; +case SAA7134_BOARD_KWORLD_DVBT_210: case SAA7134_BOARD_PHILIPS_TIGER: configure_tda827x_fe(dev, philips_tiger_config); break; diff -r 9fa3de301eac linux/drivers/media/video/saa7134/saa7134.h --- a/linux/drivers/media/video/saa7134/saa7134.hFri Mar 30 17:34:14 2007 -0300 +++ b/linux/drivers/media/video/saa7134/saa7134.hSat Mar 31 13:05:52 2007 +0100 @@ -242,7 +242,9 @@ struct saa7134_format { #define SAA7134_BOARD_AVERMEDIA_M102 110 #define SAA7134_BOARD_ASUS_P7131_4871 111 #define SAA7134_BOARD_ASUSTeK_P7131_HYBRID_LNA 112 - +// my addition +#define SAA7134_BOARD_KWORLD_DVBT_210 113 +// added the dvbt 210 as card 113 #define SAA7134_MAXBOARDS 8 #define SAA7134_INPUT_MAX 8 -Mike ___ linux-dvb mailing list linux-dvb@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linux-dvb
[linux-dvb] kworld atsc 110 remote
Hello I'm hoping some one can help me. I'm trying to make lirc handle the remote control for the 110 but all the data i get from the card is from the remote that came with the card. The codes i receive from the remote are 1 byte long and match the buttons mapping in the patch floating around. I was wondering if maybe you have to init the ir controller to use it with another remote. any ideas Jonathan ___ linux-dvb mailing list linux-dvb@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linux-dvb
