Please comment ASAP, I'd like to release it until beginning of next
week so Stephan gets a chance for pushing 3.4.3 into Ubuntu as well.

Full ACK, I'd just like to request 6091 to be taken into account as well.

Err, wait, we might want to take the messages by Maximiliano Curia and Karl
Wallner into account; both of which will only affect the simple example and
hence be documentation-only changes, but still... I will most probably not
find time to look into this before Sunday, but if nobody has volunteered
  until
then, I'll do it on Sunday.

Ok, I'll schedule release for monday and regarding r6091 CO I'll wait
 for your ping.

It's a bit more than a ping: I think we urgently need some definite information
on the kernel command line issues (see the Installing Debian Squeeze (i386) -
No $HOSTNAME set-thread).

@Thomas: Could you please briefly review the patch in
experimental/patches/simple-example_squeeze? Apart from the command line issue,
this should be the essential changes for squeeze, so I'd like to see this merged
into trunk (and cherry-picked by Mika).

Best,
Michael

OK, I now can confirm this bug. IMO, it's due to a change in
live-initramfs/live-boot. Apparently setting the hostname using the ip=
parameter does not work with live-boot (maybe due to the NOHOST=yes in
 live.conf).

Which packages and versions are involved? The original ones from
squeeze, being:

 initramfs-tools 0.98.4
 live-boot 2.0.6-1
 live-boot-initramfs-tools 2.0.6-1

?

The NOHOSTS=Yes comes from FAI's live.conf BTW, so if we just have
to change that this is no big deal (as long as it doesn't break
anything of course).
