If you're using Red Hat, then
http://www.redhat.com/support/docs/tips/Network-Config-Tips/Network-Config-Tips-4.html

has what you need. Other distros have similar mechanisms. If not, your network
init script should be a good place to
look at.

Hi,

It was posted here, so the best thing I can offer you is to search through
the archives.

There was one error that was corrected a little later on. You need to use
PAP instead of CHAP.

I don't know what your problem is, but I get the same messages as you do after
running PPTP. As far as I understand, these are just debug messages. But, at
least in my case, after these messages, I am in fact connected to ADSL. Try
PING to see if you are connected.

Catch 22 question

2000-10-12 Thread Aviram Jenik

Hi.

I want to install mod_ssl by rpm. The only RPM I could for mod_ssl requires
rpm 4.0 (the one that comes with RH7).
Now the interesting part: To install rpm 4.0 by RPM, I need... rpm 4.0.

I don't want to compile rpm 4.0 and I don't want to compile mod_ssl. SO how
do I get our of this catch 22 situation? (i.e. how can I use rpm 3 to
install rpm 4.0?)
