postil.com not working in FF or Konqueror

2008-08-14 Thread Noam Rathaus
Hi,

The Israeli Post web site used to work with FF and Konqueror, but now it
doesn't anyone knows how you can reach them and complain?

Their מוקד is clueless

Of course under IE it works.

This is the error you get:

What do you need from this site? Just call them and ask the info from their
human response team. Flooding the support team with (justified) calls to get
information that exists on the site is the only effective way I can think of
to make them think something is wrong with their site.

I see. However, I can't tell how to receive an RSS feed for the events.

This feed - http://tuxology.net/feed/ - does not contain any announcements of
events. And the Google Calendar does not seem to provide any RSS feeds. I
have my own Calendar at home, so I don't need one at Google.

Google calender provides an RSS feeds for all it's (public) calenders.

 Hi all!

(Sorry for the English message, but English is the standard on some of the
 mailing lists here).

Well, now that August Penguin is behind us - it's time to organise the next
event - the Welcome to Linux series. I set up a page for co-ordination on
 the www.hackers.org.il wiki:

 http://www.hackers.org.il/mediawiki/index.php/W2L-2008

Please look at it, and see how you can contribute. See the Todo at the
bottom. I'll update the welcome.linux.org.il site soon.

Which clubs are planning to host a W2L series this year? I'm going to organise
it for Telux, but need more information for other clubs. There's a lot to do,
 but we have time.

 Please comment.

 Regards,

Shlomi Fish

I signed up for the list.

What kind of contacts do you need? I can be your man on the ground in
Haifa, but to be honest, I really don't know much beyond the Fedora
and Kubuntu GUIs in KDE. That said, I have helped a few people switch
from Windows to Linux and I am familiar with most of the issues
regarding such a switch in general and specific to Israel. I can help
with installations and configuration of KDE including Hebrew GUI,
consulting for end-users considering switching to Linux, and data
migration from Windows. Note that is migration, not dual-boot, which I
discourage.

Interesting idea - you assume they have the required apparatus to do that...

While I'm sure Amos meant that as a joke, the reality behind the joke is
that he may have a point. It is entirely possible, even likely, that
they (i.e. - the postal company as a whole) have no system in place to
correlate calls to support with problems in the site.
