I guess you meant the Central Railaway station (rakevet-merkaz), which
is at Arlozorov street. Is it also called Savidor railaway station? I
believe the Bney-Barak railway station, the one near the Ayalon mall, is
now reffred as rakevet-tzafon. Won't the zaphon, merkaz, and darom
names likely to disappear now with the new rail stops?
One possible bus number is 55. You should get off at hayarkon 194,
which is the first stop in hayarkon street after the bus turns right
from Arlozorov street into hayarkon street. That stop happens to be in
close if not in front of the Hilton hotel - just cross the road. In
order to get on the bus you will have to go out from the railway station
to Arlozorov street. The bus stop is found where other buses like 20,
45, 61, and 62 stop. You might also ask the people at the bus terminal
that is nearby.
For more details I would go to http://www.dan.co.il. It contains a
time table which are only accurate for the start of the journey, but
still the best they can provide. The link to the map which is labeled as
emap might be of particular interest since I believe you can see there
your desired getting on and getting off stops as well as the Hilton
hotel. Although I believe in the past I used to be able follow the link
with Galeon I couldn't do that right now. It is Galeon 1.2.5 and has
java-script enabled.

There's no point in keeping an idea to yourself since there's a 10 to 1
chance that somebody already has it and will share it before you.

Emap is IE-only, from my experience too (at least mozilla fails; I
think I checked some others, e.g. konqueror).

The Dan site itself however is very standards-friendly as far as I
saw. They also have on the site a wonderfully done PDF file (couple
of them actually) that is a map of the whole Gush-Dan. Zooming in
deeply you will see all street names and bus numbers... Caution:
GhostView tries to render it completely which takes ages - in
particular zooming in/out will take you through the rendering again;
xpdf suffers from the same principial problem but is considerably
faster; acroread's render-on-demand is a big win here. The best
work-around is to pdftops(1) it (from the xpdf folks) - surprisingly
the resulting PS renders in GhostView incrementally (unlike the PDF)
and about as fast as acroread - actually once you zoomed to your
favourite level scrolling is even faster since no rendering is needed.
GhostView's middle-button drag-and-zoom is also handy here. It's the
most impressive application of PDF I've ever seen...

If I don't code for myself, who will?
And if I don't GPL it, what am I?
