problem with wireless pcmcia modem with linux (Ricochet)
Hi Ive been working on getting the wireless modem from novatel work with my linux box. I see that all incoming ip packets larger than 450 bytes get corrupted ..the last two bytes (checksum) goes missing when it reaches the ppp driver.. if the packet is less than that (450 bytes ) everything is fine . Ive not been able to isolate the problem to the card or the serial driver The card works very well with windows and mac Im using kernel 2.2.16 with pcmcia version 3.1.8 thanks jayant jain please cc me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-kernel" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please read the FAQ at http://www.tux.org/lkml/

SIGHUP not reaching pppd
Im running my linux box as a RAS using pppd 2.3.7 on kernel version 2.2.5. What we see is that if we disconnect more than 60 sessions in an instant only 60 or so pppd go away and not the rest.. Secondly what we have seen is that after there have been about more than 2 connections / disconnections SIGHUP on a few cases does not reach the pppd process and though ive closed the master handle on my gateway the pppd (the slave) still hangs around HAs any one come accross this problem.. jayant - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-kernel" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please read the FAQ at http://www.tux.org/lkml/
