 Hi Johan,

I have a similar problem which happens every few days with this card.
For me it helps to remove and reinsert the kernel module whenever this
 happens.
 rmmod -f dvb_usb_ttusb2 modprobe dvb_usb_ttusb2

Thanks a lot, Martin !

My challenge is that it happens every time i try to watch an encrypted
channel :-(

Technotrend TT-Connect CT 3650 and dvb_ca

2012-03-06 Thread Johan Henæs

Hello Everyone !

I have three DVB-C devices of the type mentioned, connected to my
mythtv-server which have been working great for a long time. As my cable
provider now are planning to start encrypting all channels, I have
bought a Xcrypt CAM module as needed. I soon realised that I needed to
upgrade the kernel and are now running kernel /: 3.2.0-17-generic
#27-Ubuntu SMP Fri Feb 24 22:03:50 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64
GNU/Linux/ .

When inserting the module everything looks well :

/dvb_ca adapter 0: DVB CAM detected and initialised successfully/

The problems start when trying to watch an encrypted channel. I do get a
channel lock in myth, so far so good, but no picture...

In my syslog I see the following :

/dvb_ca adapter 0: CAM tried to send a buffer larger than the link
buffer size (32896 255)!

dvb_ca adapter 0: CAM tried to send a buffer larger than the ecount size!
dvb_ca adapter 0: DVB CAM link initialisation failed :(/

Any ideas on what might be wrong ?

Best regards,

Johan

Technotrend C-2300 problem getting channel lock

2009-07-09 Thread Johan Henæs

Hi !

Recently I have bought three TechnoTrend C-2300 for use in my Mythtv-
system. Everything seemed to go smooth, but for a major share of the
channels I have problems getting a channel lock. (Or if I do on some
of them, I get a distorted image with lots of bit errors

Using the latest firmware for Linux : dvb-ttpci-01.fw-2622...

After poking around the Internet I found that QAM 128 has been a
problem for TechnoTrend cards, and the funny thing is that my cable-
provider is using QAM 128 for all channels (including the ones that
works very well).

As I experience problems with most of my channels I still thought
maybe this would be the problem. I haven't seen posts on the issue for
quite a while and realizing that the latest firmware available for
these cards is dated 2005, I wondered where I can find an updated
version or if anyone has a solution to my problem

Best regards,

johan
