Hi,
I have an internal patch file, which I don't think is ready to merge into
mainstream kernel. But you can use it for reference in your our project in
case you don't have the Freescale BSP available. I will post it here. The
patch will be for kernel 2.6.11, and I recommend you to get a whole Freescale
BSP.
Best Regards,
Leo

Subject: RE: [linux-usb-devel] Freescale MPC83XX USB Host Support
hi leo!
actually i'm referring to mpc834x. since afaict, freescale has not yet released
user manuals
for mpc83[5|6]x to the pulic, i spuriously assumed, that they have identical
usb support with
respect to the mpc8349. i'm currently working on the mpc8349e mds processor
board, but we will
use the mpc8343e (which has only the usb dr controller) in our design.
can we expect the patch to be submitted to the community in the near future?
thanks!

The USB host support for MPC8349 is already done and included in freescale
released BSP. But the patch is not
submitted to the community yet. However, MPC836x use totally different USB
controller and doesn't have a working
Linux driver now. I don't know which one you refer to by using MPC83xx.

Leo
