Regexp talk at CLUG next Tuesday. Need USB keyboard
Hi, I'm presenting an introduction to regular expressions at the CLUG meeting next Tuesday (http://clug.net.nz/index.php/MeetingSchedule). It will assume no prior knowledge of regular expressions, and a little bit of familiarity with the command line. It won't be covering advanced topics - you can teach yourself those once you know the basics. Also, my laptop has an annoying intermittent habit when using Linux of occasionally not registering keys while typing. Usually 2-3 key presses simply won't be registered - and sometimes the following key press will be registered in their place. Instead of qwerty I'd get qty or qrrrty. It happens often enough to be annoying but not quite often enough for me to try and fix. This doesn't happen under windows and doesn't happen with a USB keyboard. So can I have a volunteer to bring a USB keyboard please (I don't have one)? And, if I can be so fussy, please make sure it has a double-width backspace key. Actually, I was going to offer to swap a 17 inch CRT for a USB keyboard. I dug it out of storage to get the specs last night, but then I figured out how to get it to dualhead with my laptop, so I want to keep it now :-) Cheers, Carl.

and to think I was so tempted to print a roll of linux stickers and just stick them on those funny looking vista packs while I was browsing around DSE yesterday ;p [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Naughty naughty geeks http://www.loconet.ca/?p=64 -- Don Gould www.thinkdesignprint.co.nz - www.tcn.bowenvale.co.nz - www.bowenvale.co.nz - www.hearingbooks.co.nz - www.buxtonsquare.co.nz - skype:ThinkDesignPrint?add - Good ideas: www.solarking.co.nz

I think it will be easier to use my laptop. Thanks for the offer, though. Carl.
