small problem
I am just about closing off and bedding down, but! I managed to backup all essential stuff today and reinstall eServer 3.1.1, which has given me back my ability to print. Reinstalled quit a bit but I now have a small problem, 2 in fact, that I might ask about. Have no parallel printer port it seems, I do have usb. Thjought it might be that the ||printer is not enabled in the kernel. Went to root called xconfig and it said that command gcc was not available ?? Maybe not installed but i did do a complete install, all goodies. I also cannot undo tar files as 'tar' is not in my path ?? now why would that be !! Am going to look on the install cd to see if i can find them. Any comments would bve appreciated. burning iso image
I recently downloaded mandrake iso image and the checksum file. But i do not know how to check if the image i downloaded is good or bad before burning.
