If turning power management off does not help, then I have no further advice for you. My involvement with the driver is only in the interface with Linux. If you were getting crashes, then I could help; however, I have no knowledge of the internals of the wireless chip. All I can say is that I have several samples of the RTL8723BE chips, and they all work OK for me. Obviously, there is something different with your setup. One guess would be the antenna structure. My mounting is external to my laptop, but the antennas I use are those from an HP DV2800 laptop. The entire screen assembly is used. With that, my devices detect 12 or 13 local APs, which is what I see using the Intel 7260 built into my laptop.

One suggestion: Including large amounts of extraneous materials the way you did here is extremely counterproductive. Seeing all that stuff discourages me from reading anything.

What does that statement about i915 errors have to do with this issue? I have been getting various i915 errors and warnings for the 15 months that I have had this laptop. I reported them to the i915 group (see MAINTAINERS file), but as far as I can tell, they have had no effect on the operation of anything such as wifi.
