[LinuxVadaPav] Network Damm slow while cpying trough smaba FTP
Hi All, I have server with 750 x2 sata hdd (no raid.) model name : Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz memory 8 GB on pci ethernet card realek 8169 I ahve created smaba and ftp over in it.. whan I copied some bulk data in smaba directory or ftp directoy through windows machine... sometime its go damm slow means sometimes ping reply is constant and some times packet losse means requested time out.. I ahve changed lan card and patch cable..switch port..then also it goes down slow and while copying.. so will guys have any Idea of it..means any sloution awaiting for your kind reply... That's his original mail. Hi, Anand has already mentioned that group users are able to create new sub-directories, so I think writeable=YES directive must alredy be there. He says the users from groups are able to *access* (read) the subdirectories, but unable to *move or delete* (write to) them. I also suggest him to check the perms in fstab. Regards, NMK.
