Hi all,

I am facing a problem regarding Samba shares with groups assigned to them. Those
directories have 755 permissions.
Normally all Users from the Group are are able to access the subdirectories.
But when they create new subdirestories and try to move or delete those
subdirectories then it gives an error saying 'Cannot move or copy as the disk
might be full'  Pls help.

Thanks
Regards,
Anand.

Dude, you need to have writeable=YES set for your shares. As Dinesh
pointed, could you please show us your smb.conf file?

NMK.

Hi,
Anand has already mentioned that group users are able to create new
sub-directories, so I think writeable=YES directive must  alredy be there.

That's his original mail.

 Hi,
Anand has already mentioned that group users are able to create new
sub-directories, so I think writeable=YES directive must alredy be there.

He says the users from groups are able to *access* (read) the
subdirectories, but unable to *move or delete* (write to) them.

I also suggest him to check the perms in fstab.

NMK.
