[pfSense] Squid broken in latest build
Hello, I upgraded to today's latest version: 2.0-RC3 (i386) built on Sun Sep 11 21:36:53 EDT 2011 and squid gave me TCP_DENIED errors, nothing worked anymore, after a long search i found this in /usr/local/etc/squid/squid.conf: # Do not edit manually ! http_port 192.168.3.253:3128 http_port 10.100.202.253:3128 http_port 127.0.0.1:3128 http_port 127.0.0.1:3128 transparent I deleted the line: http_port 127.0.0.1:3128 and HUP the squid process and then squid worked fine. However, changing the config in the GUI, the config get's recreated with the wrong line and I have to delete it again! Hope someone can fix this soon, best Raimund Sacherer ___ List mailing list List@lists.pfsense.org http://lists.pfsense.org/mailman/listinfo/list

[pfSense] Upgrade Woes
So, yesterday I decided to let pfsense run an upgrade, from a July build to yesterday. And then everything went screwy. The system looked like it was all ok, my 2 internet connections operating OK, but I couldn't surf from the computers behind it. The router was able to resolve and ping addresses no worries. Strangely enough, I had to restart the web configurator on several occasions to get it online too. Naturally, I started doing this about an hour before I had to go out, not anticipating any problems :) I have now just finished a new install of 2.0 from ISO and noticed the following, which may or may not be of any use to others. In new 2.0, there is no link to the package manager. When I used a stored link to access it, and enable some packages, I ran into problems again. This leads me to think that there is something wrong with some packages. Anyway, after several hours spent tearing my hair out, I seem to be back online. Will post anything else come up. ___ List mailing list List@lists.pfsense.org http://lists.pfsense.org/mailman/listinfo/list
