I don't have any IPv6 peers setup in FRR but can you elaborate more on your configuration and the changes you made that allowed it to work? Looking at the FRR code, the only place it manually specifies ipv4 or ipv6 is when defining the networks to distribute. If you can show me the settings in the GUI, the "broken" config, and then what you think it should look like I can try to get that fixed up in the package. You can send that to me privately if you don't want to send it to the list.
