Same here. Half of our domains were not resolving from any of the public or ISP
DNS servers. Luckily it was Sunday else we would have been firefighting all day.

It started working automagically after around 1900 UTC.

Re: [pfSense] Problem with pfsense website/packages?

2014-08-08 Thread Tim Eggleston

I'm getting destination host unreachable while trying to contact
packages.pfsense.org or www.pfsense.org. Traceroute gets as far as
fw1.pfmechanics.com. I've tried from a couple of different internet
connections with the same result.

Actually disregard this, connectivity now seems to be working but when
attempting to list available packages on my firewalls, I get:

Unable to communicate with https://packages.pfsense.org. Please verify
DNS and interface configuration, and that pfSense has functional
Internet connectivity.

I can now traceroute to and ping packages.pfsense.org but perhaps
something isn't working on the backend?

Cheers,

Everything was down for me as well, but looks like the website is back up.
I haven't tried packages in a while, but will come back to it tomorrow when
I try to do a fresh install onto flash media.
