Thanks for this - £2.99/month is incredible value for a 2GB memory box!

The 10GB storage is a bit limiting for my usage, but I'm getting the
+50GB upgrade for ~£4.50 / month.

I've been using Memset for a long time and find them to be very good. Their 
virtual servers start at about £10/month I think. I host web, email and various 
other bits and pieces. You have a choice of OS, e.g Debian or Ubuntu, SSH 
access, and can set up how you wish.
