RE: Problems with log4j and WebLogic
Do not replace anything. Leave weblogic's log4j.jar where it was. What you should do is - cleanup your PATH and CLASSPATH not to include any log4j stuff; - drop off log4j's jar into your webapp's WEB-INF/lib; - place your log4j.properties in WEB-INF/classes. -Original Message- From: Jerry Cattell [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: June 14, 2003 11:55 PM To: Log4J Users List Subject: Re: Problems with log4j and WebLogic I considered that, but it doesn't seem to be the problem. Weblogic has a log4j.jar in the common/lib directory, so I thought it might be using that one instead. I replaced it with the jar I am using (renaming it to log4j.jar just in case they are using the exact name). Then I removed my jar from the EAR and the classpath from the JAR's manifest file. Still getting the exact same error. It seems like it really can't find it anywhere in the classpath, I just don't know why. Re: Problems with log4j and WebLogic
NoClassDefFoundError means that you probably have conflicting versions of Log4j in your classpath. Try to set it up where you only have one copy of log4j.jar in your classpath and see if that fixes things.
