Re: [Lubuntu-desktop] gvfs-fuse is not installed?
Thanks, I'll add it to the lubuntu-desktop package. Best regards, Julien Lavergne Le dimanche 23 mai 2010 à 12:11 +0800, PCMan a écrit : I just noticed that gvfs-fuse package is not installed. [Lubuntu-desktop] print problem
Hi everyone, I cannot print with Canon pixma iPseries by usb gate, I have installed the same driver which let print from UbuntuLL( but actually I tested it only with server/ router); the driver are CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.5 Simplified. After I installed it, printing is too slow or not working at all; thanks Paolo ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop Post to : lubuntu-desktop@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
Re: [Lubuntu-desktop] print problem
I'm not sure, but I was like you when Lucid arrived. I have a Brother multifunction. Since the removing of HAL the drivers were unable to find correctly the printer, and the solution came directly from Brother. Check it out if Canon has released a new set of drivers, and I mean a DEB package, and notes recommending modifying some files. In my case I needed to edit /lib/udev/rules.d/40-libsane.rules ...and put this: # Brother scanners ATTRS{idVendor}==04f9, ENV{libsane_matched}=yes Now, 90-local.rules is no longer a valid file to point USB multifunction devices, and I don't know why. Of course, this text is valid for Brother and OKI printer scanners. Yours may be different, and sure you've checked this. attachment: a3.pngattachment: a2.pngattachment: a1.png___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop Post to : lubuntu-desktop@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
Re: [Lubuntu-desktop] questions about lubuntu-10.04.iso
http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/hplip http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/hplipStates 3.10.2-2ubuntu2 but it's easy enough to use the binary from the HPLIP site. If you have more than 2Gb RAM You can easily get away with no swap due to the size of Lubuntu but I have yet to install it myself due to other projects taking my time :( I'm sure somebody who has installed it can give their df -h output Cheers -Andy On Mon, May 24, 2010 at 6:06 AM, rya...@mail.com wrote: How much GB of disk space(including swap) does a full install of lubuntu-10.04 use if installing from the lubuntu-10.04.iso CD? 2GB? 3GB? Does lubuntu-10.04 include the HPLIP driver for HP printers? If so, what version of HPLIP is it? HPLIP 3.10.5?
