Re: [Lubuntu-desktop] great lubuntu with problem
Jockey GTK is not polished in Lubuntu yet, even in Ubuntu doesn't work very nice, so it's not really our problem. If you have a nVidia and want to use the new Nouveau drivers, please, check this article, it's a command line given help to install and test it and make it working with Plymouth (it worked for me). attachment: a3.pngattachment: a2.pngattachment: a1.png___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop Post to : lubuntu-desktop@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Re: [Lubuntu-desktop] great lubuntu with problem
I think that is good idea to subscribe to ubuntu geek. Here are 2 articles about problems with nvidia cards on ubuntu 10.04. Check them: http://www.ubuntugeek.com/howto-install-nvidia-drivers-manually-on-ubuntu-10-04-lucid-lynx.html and http://www.ubuntugeek.com/how-to-fix-ubuntu-10-04-lts-lucid-blank-screen-at-startup.html. They were very useful for me cause I had GT 240 card and this helped me. Hope, it will help you too. Re: [Lubuntu-desktop] What to look forward to?
Peppermintos is really nice indeed (it's lubuntu+mint+prism). It's worth trying. Nice concept. But, I'm not throwing in the towel on lubuntu :) Thanks Zoltan On Wed, May 12, 2010 at 4:37 AM, CAD Outsourcing cad...@gmail.com wrote: Take a look at peppermintos.com and let me know what you think. I put it on my AMD dual-core 4G desktop box, thinking it was just to play with it, and I've rarely booted anything else since. :) Can't wait to see how this unfolds. Nice job, folks!
