I’m obviously missing something, as I can’t see anything on that link about 
this.
Besides it’s easy enough to do.  Just create the appropriate .desktop files in 
the Desktop folder.  Personally, I see no worth or merit in desktop icons 
anyway as I can’t see the desktop for applications when I’m using the computer.

Yes, I know, but most people (who came from Windows) would like to
see a (working) Trash and a "My PC" or something like that to
access. That's why Windows 7 was so cold for them, it showed an
empty desktop that confused a lot of users.

But I don't really know if that Slax trash works (changes its

But that still doesn’t explain the need for a Rubbish Bin icon on the desktop.  
It all seems a bit OMGubuntu to me.
