Re: [lubuntu-users] [lubuntu-devel] Help! I can't report bugs

2017-10-18 Thread Ian Bruntlett
Hi Simon et al,

Discovered there is a way to report a bug when the test system is awkward:-

Also, because of screen problems, I might have written the filename as
32-bit-graphics-apport

apport-cli -f -p linux --save 32-bit-graphics.apport # this gathers
debugging info and saves it as a text file

Then you copy the above created file ("32-bit-graphics.apport") to a USB
flash drive and copy it to a computer in order to file a bug, using this
command:-
ubuntu-bug -c 32-bit-graphics.apport # this takes the debugging info copied
from the other system and passes it on to bugs.launchpad

After doing some processing, it opened a page on Firefox. Logged in as
usual, typed in some extra info about the bug. The bug was then filed OK.

Bug #1724639

I've added an attachment with a photo of the display corruption.

BW,

Ian

Please run `ubuntu-bug ubiquity`, we can triage from there.

Thanks.
