Actually when Jude got a 145 I figured he went to an url which needed quotes or
a grave accent. Jude, you probably can type an fg and resume.

I used it from my home computer which has latest certificates working on
it. I know this since I can download my gmail with mutt.

I'll try the link from panix.com which is in New York.

This is weird. When I got two numbers showing up on panix I hit q and
as soon as I did, the gmail screens came up. I got the javascript
complaint and google could not sign me in at the end of the process
though. I may need to check gmail type and make it basic before I try
this again that may get me in.

Google no longer accepts sign-ins without JavaScript, so it will not be
possible to sign in with Lynx. They have apparently decided that signing
in without JavaScript is insecure. Google only knows why, and you'll
have to ask them about it (good luck with that).

Okay,
for those saying lynx cannot work any longer you are incorrect.
I just logged in from my work shell account using lynx just fine.
Added to my using lynx with gmail several times per day.
Now as a shortcut, consider adding the following to your lynx bookmark
file.

https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=html=h

Works for me with both of my gmail accounts all the time.
Granted, I have gotten the message you reference using java script
browsers, l i n k s and e-links with one gmail account while still
logging in using those browsers with another.
If your gmail account is normally signed in to a java script browser,
perhaps? log out first?

Just some thoughts,

The latter, unfortunately, leads to in an arms race with the client
side ending up with a js implementation. This is because the js sent
over to test whether js is supported can be arbitrarily complicated, so
the client can have to execute arbitrary js computations to make the
test pass.

Pulseaudio, as I understand it, does not involve a fully-general
language implementation, so it's a lot easier to fake out.

If the O.P. is on a Linux system, lots of support exists for mutt and
gmail. msmtp once correctly configured can send messages out on gmail
too. Only thing is, your account needs setting for less secure access
using these tools.

It worked for me about five hours ago as I type this - one of my
employers farms out their internal email to Google. (I wouldn't go
near them for my own email.)

I do have it configured "basic HTML", which might be relevant. (I
switched to lynx after Firefox unilaterally downgraded itself on me.
Well, it called it an upgrade, but it broke a lot more than it fixed
for me, so in fact it was a downgrade.)

It also may be relevant that we are actually paying them to host our
domain's email (not much, but some).

I keep pushing them to switch away from Google, but so far they are
seeing only the immediate monetary costs, which are indeed lower than
those for most alternatives.
