Since nobody stepped forward, I had a go myself and just copied the boost 
directory just after Lars' update in rev. 19398 (Update to latest from boost 
1.34.x branch) to branch.

Attached is what I came up with. Compiles fine here and looks sensible, 
AFAICT.

Have I missed something obvious? If not I'm gonna commit that.
