Maybe we can announce the news on the website a bit more prominent than just a small news heading. Also, we might consider preparing a announcement leaflet or whatever. Now I've made the packages for 2.1.0 for Mac OS X 10.5 too. These are usable for users on legacy systems. I'll plan to release 2.0.8 shortly thereafter. Maybe we can announce the news on the website a bit more prominent than just a small news heading. Easy enough to do, since those pages are editable online. But if we are going to do that, we should decide on some text for the announcement an dtry to get the Japanese, Spanish, French, German, and (I think) Hungarian translators to give us something to put on those versions of the page. A quick message to lyx-docs might suffice. Richard

2.0.8 and 2.1.0 Release Date(s?)
I now have all binaries for 2.0.8, and Stephan just emailed a link to the OSX one for 2.1.0, so I take it we are just about good to go. How shall we proceed here, to avoid confusion for people? Release the same day? One one day and one the next? Or...? Richard

There was one day delay last time with clear statement that the only news is 1.6.10 can read 2.0 and only users who need to continue in this serie should install this. Pavel BTW please put 2.1/2.0.8 tarballs to proper ftp locations at least one day or more before annoucing.

I see: 2.0.0 first, then 1.6.10 a bit after. That sounds reasonable. BTW please put 2.1/2.0.8 tarballs to proper ftp locations at least one day or more before annoucing. Yes, I always do that.
