What is the status of the bugs targeted to 2.1.0? Is the current list OK, or

I guess this is the patch from pdv we discussed in Milano.

Jerry, unfortunately this patch cannot go in in its present form and we
did not find the time to do the cleanup in Milano. Too much time was
spent at the meeting debating the virtues of C++11, cmake or Qt instead
of coding :-|

This is difficult stuff and has to be done carefully.

I didn't get whether by jump to the final LyX 2.1 you mean release candidate
or 2.1 release. What I have seen in previous final releases is that you need
more iterations not just because of bugs but to let packagers fix *their*
issues, so just single beta and final release is not good idea in case you
meant it.

Also if you are heading towards final freezing it would be nicer if we know
the time schedule sooner than 2 weeks ahead.

Yes, a nice schedule is always better. On the other hand, if people do have
new features that they definitely want to have in 2.1, they should have
communicate about it in an earlier stage when I asked for it, or they
should make sure they finish it on a two weeks notice. I asked a few months
ago what features people wanted to get in, and I'm still waiting for those
features to get ready. I can't ask again now, and wait until all new
features that are proposed now will be ready, and then ask again... etc.
