Open a file
move cursor (either via keyboard or mouse)

What are the steps to reproduce? Since you don't reproduce the problem with 
Qt5.11, do you think it was a Qt bug that was fixed? Or, perhaps we cannot rule 
out that it has to do with different compilation flags or linked libraries 
since the 5.9.5 was from the Ubuntu repos?

I am using QT5.9.5 (Standard on this ubuntu). Disturbing.
Recompiled with QT5.11, I don't see it anymore.
