Congratulations. As you may know, these new releases do not require a
special port to Aqua -- so I'll just send best wishes to a proud
father.

PS. Some "Father"-entities I know found that they initially had to
temporarily relocate, leaving the "Mother"-entity (who has compatible hw)
in charge of nighthly maintenance.

But please don't consider a complete rewrite when it's finished ;-)

Of course not.

We settled for some natural neural network and are determined to
let it find out the nitty-gritty details by itself. Saves a lot
of the implementation hassles.

new release

2004-01-19 Thread Andre Poenitz

In a long standing tradition on lyx-devel I hereby happily announce a
new version of the Pönitz hardwares series.

The piece dubbed "Bruno" was released to the public yesterday. Although
it is not yet feature-complete (teeth are missing, but will be added in
due time) the new light-weight architecture (3380g in 49cm) shows great
potential. Audio in- and output is already working, but seems to use an
undocumented encryption scheme. Our engineers are working on that. So
far they've unfortunately come up with completely unrelated proposals
only, such as replacing the traditional beer fuel with some drug called
"milk". They expect, however, that this change is temporary only and
expect "business as usual" before Christmas.

Thanks for putting me straight. I thought I'd better query this but sent the
mail to the devel list rather than the users list because I didn't know the
details.

Actually he is using the code against 1.3.x send a long time ago by
Joao.

Keep in mind that macosx is a relatively well defined environment,
where things are easier to get right.

And no, I do not plan to include this in 1.3.x.

Ronald, what's going on here! Are you backporting João's stuff to the 1.3.x

It is _very_ experimental code and completely untested. Indeed, we _know_ it
isn't finished yet.
