lyx installation/ libXpm Problem
Hey! I'm just trying to install lyx-1.1.6fix4 locally on Debian Linux. When ./configuring --with-extra-prefix=/home/elke/system, I get always the messageCannot find libXpm. I have tried with several Xpm-Versions, including libXpm.so.4.7 , libXpm.so.4.11, all installed in /home/elke/system I've also tried to force using these libraries by adding -lXpm into the src/Makefile. Different error messages obtain, once _xfstatix is not defined, the other time quite a lost of symbols. The -L/home/elke/system is always there. Which Xpm should I use, and where can I get it. (I don't get a guest login at ftp.inria.fr - don't know what the problem is) My exact Linux version is: Linux version 2.2.13 (root@tulum) (gcc version 2.95.2 2220 (Debian GNU/Linux)) #4 Mon Oct 23 18:01:51 CEST 2000 Any help appreciated!
