Problem wth Appendix

2002-12-21 Thread Koundinya
Hello all,
Nearing the end is my thesis and so I have some topics meant
for Appendix. I have used the Koma Script book class for my
thesis and it's multi parted. I have 4 chapters. Now I have a
separate file appendixA.lyx which I have inserted in the main
thesis file and when I view a PS of that, the section numbers of
the Apendix start from where the last chapter has ended (i.e
4.4, 4.4.1 ..) . I would like each Appendix to freshly start
the section numbers (any format).

BTW, in the appendixA.lyx, I have done a Addchap to start
Appendix. Doesn't the Koma Script book class contain a direct
way to insert Appendix like it has for Bibliography ?.

I hope i have been clear.

Thanks for any help in advance.

usepackage in tex export

Hi,

Lyx is becoming a more and more imporant tool for me, lots of thanks to the
developers! BTW, I have a naive question. I want to have \usepackage{fullpage} in
the LateX output of lyx and I cannot make it do that by inserting a tex command
directly. \usepackage and some commands must come before \begin and it seems that
inserting a tex command on from lyx editor environment places it after \begin when a
lyx file is exported in LaTeX format. What should I do?
 I apperciate your help.

I've used both fptex and the Cygwin tetex. The native one was faster,
but the difference was not that big for me. The convenience of the
installation of the Cygwin tetex won out in my case.

usepackage in tex export

2002-12-21 Thread Farshad

Hi,

Lyx is becoming a more and more imporant tool for me, lots of thanks to the
developers! BTW, I have a naive question. I want to have "\usepackage{fullpage}" in
the LateX output of lyx and I cannot make it do that by inserting a tex command
directly. \usepackage and some commands must come before \begin and it seems that
inserting a tex command on from lyx editor environment places it after \begin when a
lyx file is exported in LaTeX format. What should I do?
 I apperciate your help.

thanks,
Farshad

Put it in the preamble.

Layout->Preamble
