Moving table captions within a float

2004-02-21 Thread Rich Shepard
I placed all table captions _under_ the tables, just as I have with figure
captions. Reviewing the publisher's specifications I see that they want
table captions _above_ the table.

What is the most efficient (and safest) way to change the position of the
caption? Do I just cut it all and paste it before the table, or is there a
better way?

Thanks,

I think the problem is that he's missing Qt3? What does 'rpm -q

I understand your point, but I do not fully agree with it. Frequently, there
are more than one answer to the same question (as the one asked) and not all
answers have the same degree of satisfaction to the one who asks the
question. Therefore, the larger the number of people to whom one sends a
question, the higher is the probability of getting a richer variety of
answers. I did not mean to abuse of the generosity of the people on here or
on any list, because it is sharply against my principles.

it is impossible to place a pagenumber in a 5mm footer!

change your paper size to a4, add some more space to the

no, the problem is that l2h without the patch

I can't determine from your message whether ordinary previews of LyX
documents in pdf or other formats fail, or whether it is the
latex-preview of math in LyX that is failing.

If it is the former, try running

   /Applications/LyX.app/Contents/MacOS/LyX -dbg latex

in a terminal; you may need to change the command if you installed
LyX/Mac somewhere other than the Applications folder. The debugging
output will show the LaTeX generation/execution.

If latex-previews of math n LyX fail, did you run (double-click)
LyX-Setup in the installation bundle?

Because latex2html does not know that they were available as .jpg, it only
sees the .eps file references in the .tex file.

Please file this as an enhancement request on http://bugzilla.lyx.org to
make sure that it does not get forgotten.

You could use the attached external template (untested) instead of using the
graphics include. Another option is to write a little script that converts
the .tex file in the way you have done it by hand before feeding it to
latex2html and use that script as html exporter instead of latex2html.
