How do I make convert to Roman letter page numbering to numerical page numbering?
Hello, Here is the page order of my thesis: title abstract acknowlegdment table of content list of figures Chapter 1 Chapter 2 I am trying to have Roman Letter page numbering for Title, Abstract, Acknowledgment, Table of Contents , and List of Figures. Then from Chapter 1, Chapter 2, I would like to switch to numerical page numbering starting with 1, 2, 3 , etc. How do I do this? I have used the recommendation from Tips Tricks link at Lyx webpage, i.e., in preamble \pagenumbering{roman} \let\myTOC\tableofcontents \renewcommand\tableofcontents{% \myTOC \clearpage \pagenumbering{arabic} } This however, makes page number of List of Figures to 1 and Chapters start with 2, 3, ., etc. Is there anyway I can make list of Figures page to have Roman Letter pagenumber and Chapters to start with Arabic numbering 1, 2, 3... etc? Thank you very much. Yours sincerely, Sung Nae Cho, Thursday, Apr. 29, 2004.

appendix
Hi, I have inserted an appendix in my file which should contain some programs that I have written. I have inserted the files but they do not look good because all lines which should be indented e.g. after if-instructions are not indented anymore. Is there a way to keep the layout of the program? Thank you, Melanie

How do I make convert to Roman letter page numbering to numerical page numbering?
Hello, Here is the page order of my thesis: title abstract acknowlegdment table of content list of figures Chapter 1 Chapter 2 I am trying to have Roman Letter page numbering for "Title", "Abstract", "Acknowledgment", "Table of Contents" , and "List of Figures". Then from Chapter 1, Chapter 2, I would like to switch to numerical page numbering starting with 1, 2, 3 , etc. How do I do this? I have used the recommendation from "Tips & Tricks" link at Lyx webpage, i.e., in preamble \pagenumbering{roman} \let\myTOC\tableofcontents \renewcommand\tableofcontents{% \myTOC \clearpage \pagenumbering{arabic} } This however, makes page number of "List of Figures" to 1 and Chapters start with 2, 3, ., etc. Is there anyway I can make "list of Figures" page to have Roman Letter pagenumber and Chapters to start with Arabic numbering 1, 2, 3... etc? Thank you very much. Yours sincerely, Sung Nae Cho, Thursday, Apr. 29, 2004.

Hi, you can use \setcounter{page}{1} \pagenumbering{roman} Yours Roland
table of contents links
Hello ! I just started with lyx, so sorry if this is a stupid question... I would love if my table of contents would be hyperlinked to the right chapter/section/subsections on the final pdf file. With TexShop (another LaTex software) I just used this command at the beginning of my document: \usepackage{hyperref} and it would work. How to do the same with lyx ? Thanks a lot for your answer. Dominique
Re: appendix
You will want to use the listings package for this. http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/listings/listings.pdf --- Melanie Gross <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi, > > I have inserted an appendix in my file which should > contain some > programs that I have written. Create custom commands with specified tab insets. -Marc On Thursday 29 April 2004 09:44, Melanie Gross wrote: > Hi, > > I have inserted an appendix in my file which should contain some > programs that I have written.
