LyX 1.6.5 freeze
Hello everybody When I try to open a LyX-Document on a network drive LyX opens very slowly and then freezes. All other documents on the drive (pdf, word and such) can be opened without a problem. And LyX documents on other drives can also be opened without any problem. It's just the ones on the network drive. Does anybody know how to possibly resolve this? tufte-latex 3.5 problem with LyX
Admirable LyX Layouter, in the framework of actualization of my MacTeX installation I installed the brand actual version 3.5.0 of the tufte-latex classes from http://code.google.com/p/tufte-latex/ Running the actual LyX example files (with the actual LyX layouts from Uwe Stöhr) I get the LaTeX error »Can be used only in the preamble« for the title and the author in the LyX document. For helping a bit more I exported the Tufte LyX example files to pdflatex. Running them with TeXShop or TeXworks give the same error message. Experimentally I changed these files a little bit by moving the \title{…} and \author{…} rows = before \begin{document} and they compiled well with TeXShop or TeXworks. Unfotunately I am not able to transpone this finding in the Tufte layout files. May I hope you will find a working solution, best with title and author in the main LyX working window, third best with having to put title and author into the preamble (menu document = options) window. Cutting and pasting in tables
Dear LyX users, First, configuration: Mac OS 10.6.2, LyX 1.6.4.2. Second, when I use any sort of font formatting inside a table, say underlining or italics, and then move the cursor to another cell in the table, LyX assumes that the formatting for the text in next cell will be the same as the last formatting I used. This happens even when I select one letter and change its formatting to italics rather than type the entire word in italics. Even hitting Cmd+e before typing in the next cell doesn't change the formatting back to normal. The only way to return formatting to normal is to select the newly typed text and then toggle Cmd+e. Is this behavior intended? Can others replicate it? It is new (as of 1.6, I believe) and, to me at least, unexpected. Maria
Re: Cutting and pasting in tables
Oh, sorry--forgot to mention that this sticky formatting persists even when cutting and pasting or copying objects between cells. As in, select an italicized letter, cut it, paste it to another cell, and then try to type in a different cell--the text will be in italics. This doesn't happen outside of tables. (Hence the subject of the thread.) Maria On Wed, Dec 16, 2009 at 3:00 PM, Maria Gouskova gousk...@gmail.com wrote: Dear LyX users, First, configuration: Mac OS 10.6.2, LyX 1.6.4.2.
