PStricks in LyX

2013-04-13 Thread Wolfgang Engelmann
Has somebody successfully used PStricks in LyX?

I am trying to plot a map of Europe with the PST-Geo
and installed the TeX code of an example.
The error is:
File `ttctexa.cls' not found.

This file is, however, in
/texlive/2012/texmf-dist/doc/latex/tlc2

is it not found, because LyX needs a layout file of it?
Or do I have to set a PATH?

If there is no layout file available, would it be better to use e.g.
LaTeXDraw and a latex file instead of LyX?

Wolfgang

Not as you are trying to do it. However, I regularly use PSTricks to
create the figures I need, compile them to .pdf files, and insert those
figures in the document.

It's not a general feature of LyX, so it's likely specific to your setup. If
you create or open any document and click Document Settings ..., you'll
see a Save as Document Defaults button. If you click that when you're in a
document that is setup to load AMS Theorem, that could become part of the
default settings when starting new documents.

If you create a new document and go to Document Settings... Modules, is
one of the AMS theorem modules in the selected category? If so, try
deselecting it and saving as default settings.

Yes. Go to Document Settings... Page Layout and change the headings
style to fancy. In the preamble, put something like the following (I'll
assume here that you want the table centered):

\chead{\begin{tabular}...\end{tabular}}

An easy way to get the LaTeX code for the table right is to build the table
in the document body, do View View Source to see the code, copy it and
paste it into the preamble.

Thanks, Jürgen,

but it still does not find it. I have the impression, that texhash is not
using my
home/texlive/2012/

 sudo texhash

texhash: Updating /var/lib/texmf/ls-R-TEXLIVE...

strange.

I get the same error if I run the tex-file
LaTeX Error: File `ttctexa.cls' not found

What might be wrong?
