pseudo letterhead
Hi, I need to realize, a simple letterhead. I do not need the script that let me insert the various environment (address, etc.). I just need a simple letter, where I can insert an image on top right (in word or open/libre office, are named header and footer) and another image on the footer. I'm wondering if, I can do that, with the sample letter class. TIA Renato
lyx on the cloud
Hi, I would use Lyx everywhere. Instead of Libre/Open Office. But To do that, I need a service, that let me use it everywhere. i.e., if I write a Lyx doc on my pc, the I go to an office, that do no has Lyx (but for sure, it has a internet connection), I would/coul use it, without my pc. Is there a cloud service that do that? TIA Renato

using refstyle for Reference on Page Page references
Hello, I would like to use the Reference on Page Page cross-referencing format from refstyle in LyX. I set the Use refstyle (not prettyref) for cross-rferences option in the Document settings, but LyX uses the \vref{LabelPrefix:Label} command for the references. I tried to work around LyX with this: \usepackage{xstring} \renewcommand{\vref}[1]{\expandafter\csname\StrBefore{#1}{:}ref\endcsname[vref]{\StrBehind{#1}{:}}} This should essentially replace the \vref{LabelPrefix:Label} command LyX inserts/outputs with \LabelPrefixref[vref]{Label} which would be the refstyle command to get the Reference on Page Page cross-referencing format. Could someone who has more experience in TeX/LaTeX please point out what I did wrong. Kind regards, Hugo mwe.lyx Description: Binary data
RE: using refstyle for Reference on Page Page references
That checkbox controls what package is used for formatted references, which are different a different type of cross reference. It has no effect on ref on Page page references, which always use varioref regardless. (I'm not sure why it doesn't, having never used varioref, but perhaps it already supports babel for translation which was the main reason for switching away from prettyref.) As for why your workaround isn't working (if it isn't), I don't know. If no one else replies, you may have to ask on a more general LaTeX forum / list. http://tex.stackexchange.com/ usually gets very good answers. Re: Update DVI (lyx v 2.0.6 in Win 7 x64 )
Additional note: I do not have spaces in folder or file names so this is not the source of the problem (some folks in earlier trheads have discussed this If this is known problem with LyX (or MikTex), even if there is no solution (or it requires an update), if someone can let me know that would be great.
letterhead with Koma2 or letter
Hi, please, help me to set letterhead. I tried koma2 and letter class. I read the same document (in different site) googling around. But I'm in the same situation... How can I put Image on the top left and the bottom of the page? TIA Renato

TIA Renato I have had a great deal of help from Jean-Marie Pacquet with my problems tweaking the Koma letter environment. I will attempt to pass on his wisdom. Where you see “Sender name” in the Koma letter template place your graphic, or your other entry and then move your graphic accordingly, maybe using Ctrl+space as often as you require. In the footer you may have to do much the same. I see you have had some good advice from Jean-Marie on your request last time. Prior to using the Koma-Script letter template, I rolled my own letter template with a plain Koma-Script article page and just placed all the elements where I wanted much like suggested above for placing the graphics. I have also created a graphic with the GIMP with all the writing, with the font I wanted and graphic placed accordingly and just inserted that into the “Sender name” area. Not much help, but maybe a start to what you need.
