Hello Patrick, try adding "Provides mathrsfs 1" to the local format.

Do you use "fourier" via Document>Settings>Fonts>Math or
the user preamble?

Günter

package{mathrsfs}

2017-01-04 Thread Patrick Dupre
Hello,

If I use \mathscr
in a document, then lyx use the package
\usepackage{mathrsfs}
However, mathrsfs conflicts with

\DeclareMathAlphabet{\mathscr}{FMS}{futm}{m}{n}%
\DeclareMathAlphabet{\mathcal}{OMS}{cmr}{m}{n}%

while I do not need mathrsfs
I use fourier

How can I prevent the loading of the package mathrsfs?

Thank

How could I get a dot on an alpha by using the math function of lyx? Or do I
have to use a tex insert:

$\dot \alpha$

Click on the "frame decorations" icon in the math toolbar. See the
screenshot. Does that work for you?

In the LyX math preview (i.e. without instant preview), the "dot" looks
more like a small line. Do you agree or does it look correct to you?

Scott
Yes, Scott, in the instant preview it does look like a short line, but
its correct in the pdf output.
