Re: Font (detection) problems (want to use a Garamond font)
There are several options. An easy way could be links from the opentype and ttf dirs under your tex-tree to /usr/local/share/fonts or to $HOME/.local/share/fonts/ I don't know your current situation, but it may be something like: mkdir $HOME/.local/share/fonts/texfonts cd $HOME/.local/share/fonts/texfonts ln -s /opt/texlive/texmf-dist/fonts/opentype ./ ln -s /opt/texlive/texmf-dist/fonts/ttf ./ I hope, this works. I don't know the reason, why pdflatex does not find the fonts, because latex has its own "database" for files. Maybe some font files are missing or you need to run mktexlsr (as root). Re: SOLVED > Re: how to tell LyX that there is a 2023 texlive
On the Mac I use Homebrew's basictex with a small script to save the installed packages so it can pull the additional ones after the upgrade via tlmgr. LyX works out of the box because Homebrew and tlmgr run texhash and the binary directories are symlinked by Homebrew. I can then usually just remove the older version. el On 02/05/2023 18:09, Wolfgang Engelmann wrote: > > > Am 02.05.23 um 17:42 schrieb José Matos: >> On Tue, 2023-05-02 at 16:43 +0200, Wolfgang Engelmann wrote: >>> How can I tell LyX that there is a 2023 texlive which I installed >>> just now. >>> >>> It is in >>> /usr/local/texlive/2023 >>> and I have the PATHs set in ~/.profile. >>> >>> However, LyX uses still >>> /usr/local/texlive/2022 >>> >>> Wolfgang >> >> What happens if you try: >> Tools -> Reconfigure >> >> then restart LyX. >> >> Does that works? > > Thanks, José, for the reminder. Re: My book isn't compiling, having something to do with refstyle
Sounds like you updated your TeX installation, so it is not a LyX issue and more help can be obtained on TeX related lists. But it's about to be fixed anyway. I use MacTeX (TeXLive) (2023) and update almost daily with tlmgr. When regressions are introduced I usually try to downgrade the corresponding package with tlmgr which I have configured to keep at least two previous versions of packages when updating. el On 03/05/2023 00:02, Steve Litt wrote: > Udicoudco said on Wed, 3 May 2023 00:32:30 +0300 [...] >> The amsmath package robustified \eqref and it broke how refstyle >> handled amsmath.
